In June of 2006, members of the DOC (DeLorean Owners Club) spent a weekend at the home of the Lotus Car Company at Hethel, in Norfolk. This formed part of the celebrations for the 25th anniversary of the first production car. The Lotus Car Ltd carried out extensive development work on the DeLorean before it went into production and amongst other thing the car has a lotus designed wishbone chassis.

There were three guest speakers and owners got the chance to drive their cars around the Lotus test track. They also took the opportunity to take a convoy of 30 DeLoreans to the seaside. It was the largest ever gathering of DeLoreans in the UK!
